A Love to Sing!

Those who truly know the heart and passion of David Byrd would agree whole-heartedly that David Byrd, possesses a love “to sing”.  Along with that undeniable fact is a passion that has grown mightily throughout the years. David Byrd desires to bring honor and delight to the face of his savior, Jesus Christ through his given gift of music.   

Singer/songwriter, David Byrd began to establish the realization of this inner fervor early in this life.  With his hands upon the guitar, trombone, baritone horn and piano, along with involvement in school choirs and musical ensembles, David proved he was true to his call.  After the accomplishments of a degree in music education and vocal performance at the completion of college, David Byrd prepared for a life in music.  One by one, though, the doors closed.  The ones that opened were not in music.  With his strong faith, David continued to believe that one day it would all come to pass.  “As I came to the end of myself and ran to God, He began to pour out his anointing on me and blessed me with many new songs.” David vehemently states that as this point in life, he finally understood that God had called him to be a worshipper!   

David Byrd currently resides in Orlando Florida with his wife and two children. His passion has been released and revisited culminating in the creation of new songs such as "A Day to Remember" and "Captivated by You." With influences such as Chris Tomlin, Jeff Deyo and Matt Redman, sprinkled with the likes of Kansas and James Taylor, David Byrd continues to write, perform and minister.  He has had the honor of leading worship with Ron Kenoly, his songs have been played through the radio waves and he has appeared on television showcasing his music and mission.

As he continues to pursue the devotion to follow the path set out for him, David Byrd has promised to listen in silence and continue to “sing out loud”…
