I saw a quote somewhere that said "God doesn't always shelter you from the storm, sometimes you're supposed to learn to dance in the rain!" I smiled inside when I read this, knowing that the word says that "in everything" we are to "give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." It is certainly easier to dance in the sunshine when everything is going well. But what about during the times when life isn't so great?

The bible says "strong blows purify the heart." When difficult times come (and they will) how will you react? We sing songs asking God to purify our hearts, make us clean, and make us holy. We ask Him to send His fire to consume anything that is not of Him! When He actually allows trials to come to purify our hearts (like we asked) we cry out to Him and ask Him to take the "problem" away!

We can't have it both ways! God loves us and wants us to know that in our weakness He is made STRONG!!! So when the testing times come, and they will, remember to give thanks to God. Begin to "dance in the rain!" His strength is enough!
