What will your legacy be? PDF Print E-mail

During the past few weeks, there have been more than a few circumstances that have made me ask the question "what now?."  One of these was the passing of a man who had been involved in ministry for years.  He died of brain cancer.  What amazed me as I listened to the many eulogies at his memorial service, was the legacy he left behind.  Every man and woman who spoke seemed to have been impacted to live as a disciple of Christ.  So now what?  Now this man of God has left many capable sons and daughters to carry on the work of the ministry.  He was fruitful.  He multiplied.  He is now reaping the reward of his labor, and we are left to observe with a sense of happiness the results of years of this man's commitment to the great commission.  His tombstone could easily encompass his life in three simple words.  "He made disciples!"

What will your legacy be?  What will the result of your time here on earth be?  Will we hear the words 'well done good and faithful servant?"  I hope so for the Kingdom's sake!
